Sarfira is a new Hindi drama film directed by Sudha Kongara. The film is produced by Abundantia Entertainment, 2D Entertainment and Cape of Good Films. It stars Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Radhika Madan in lead roles. Sarfira is a remake of the Tamil film “Soorai Potru” (2020), starring Suriya and Paresh Rawal. This story is written by G.R. It is inspired by Gopinath’s memoir, “Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey” and follows a man who dreams of starting a low-cost airline for low-income people, but faces many challenges from his competitors.
The project was first announced in July 2021 with the working title of “Project 1”, marking 2D Entertainment’s first Hindi film. The official title, Sarfira was revealed in February 2024. Filming began in April 2022, and the film’s music was composed by G.V. Composed by Prakash Kumar.
Sarfira is set to release in theaters worldwide on July 12, 2024.

The film was originally scheduled to release on September 1, 2023, and was later moved to February 16, 2024. Now, it is finally going to release in theaters on July 12, 2024.

Sarfira Real Story Based on Captain G.R. Gopinath
Sarfira tells the amazing true story of Captain G.R. Gopinath, the man who made low-cost flying possible in India. Born on November 13, 1951 in a small village in Karnataka, Gopinath’s life is truly remarkable. He graduated from the Indian Military Academy and fought in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War. But he left the army at the age of 28 to try other things.
After leaving the army, Gopinath tried various businesses like dairy farming, owning a hotel and selling bikes. His major breakthrough came in aviation.
