Devara Review

Junior NTR, who is called ‘Man of the Mass’ by his fans, returns as the lead after six years in Deora directed by Koratala Siva. Now split into two parts, Devara focuses on the strong theme of fear and how it affects an entire generation. Fear plays a big role in the story, but how does it fit into the story? Let’s take a look!

Set in 1996, the story begins with a police officer named Ajay and his team chasing criminals, Daya and Yethi. His search leads him to Singappa (played by Prakash Raj), who lives in a coastal village called Erasmudrum (also known as Red Sea). Singappa tells the story of Deora (played by NTR) and Bhaira (played by Saif Ali Khan). The film then jumps to the 1970s, where Deora is shown as a good man who thinks carefully before killing, while Bhaira is ruthless and kills without any hesitation.

Devara is the leader of a group of pirates who rob cargo ships. He gets a job from Muruga (played by Murali Sharma). During a mission, Devara realizes that his actions are leading to the death of innocent people. He wants to stop the robbery, but Bhaira and Kunjara (played by Kalaiyarasan) stand in his way. Although Rayappa (played by Srikanth) supports Devara, soon Bhaira and Kunjara force him to switch sides. The rest of the story focuses on the battle between Deora and Bhaira as their rivalry grows.
