Crakk Movie Storyline, Review, and Plot
Mumbai’s Sidhu (Vidyut Jammwal) loves doing stunts. He dreams of going to an extreme sports tournament in Europe called Maidan. His brother Nihaal (Ankit Mohan) also went to the same tournament but died there. Sidhu is not looking for revenge because he knows his brother understands the risks. But when he learns the truth about his brother’s death, he is defeated and decides to go after those responsible.
If only the story of Crakk was that simple. Instead, it becomes embroiled in a father-son conflict. The defending champion and tournament organizer Dev (Arjun Rampal) has troubles with his father (Bijay Anand) and wants to take over his empire. There is also a misleading subplot about plutonium smuggling. Amy Jackson plays Patricia, a Polish police officer who seeks to stop terrorist activities. She thinks that the people behind the grounds may be selling dirty bombs and hires Sidhu to catch them. Nora Fatehi plays Aliya, an influential person who takes a liking to Siddhu and helps him at a crucial moment. Sidhu often sees his deceased brother Nihaal and asks him for advice.
The writing of the film is weak. The plot is all over the place, making it feel like the director lost the script and made things up as he went along. Why are these extreme sports lovers risking their lives? And why didn’t the police stop these deadly games? They are broadcast live, and everyone knows where they are, so why don’t the authorities do anything? It is hard to believe that people would enjoy watching such dangerous events.
Vidyut’s character speaks like a normal street boy from Mumbai, but it sounds fake as if he is trying to speak like Jackie Shroff. If this is what the filmmakers wanted then they should have cast Tiger Shroff in his place. Arjun Rampal looks in character but does not play the role of the villain believably.
The only good thing about the film is its action scenes. Sidhu’s stunts like the train stunts and bicycle death race are amazing. But there is too much time between these scenes and the pace of the film is slow. The sound design and background music also need improvement.
Vidyut Jammwal performs excellent stunts but struggles in emotional scenes. Arjun Rampal looks good but his character is poorly written. Ankit Mohan has done a good job in the small role of elder brother.
If you like action movies then watch Crakk. But if you want a good story then this film is not for you.
