Bhuj: The Pride of India is a 2021 Hindi war film directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya. The story is set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and is based on Indian Air Force officer Vijay Karnik. Karnik rebuilt the damaged airstrip in just 72 hours with the help of 300 women from Madhapar village. Ajay Devgn plays Karnik, alongside other actors such as Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar, Amy Virk and Ihana Dhillon.

Filming began in June 2019 in locations such as Hyderabad, Kutch, Bhopal, Indore, Lucknow, Goregaon, Kolkata and Dubai. Production shut down in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, when most of the filming had been done. Ajay Devgn continued filming in November 2020 and completed it in March 2021.

The film was scheduled to be released in theatres on 14 August 2020, coinciding with Independence Day, but was delayed due to the pandemic. It eventually premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on 13 August 2021. Critics gave it mostly negative reviews, criticising the story, pacing, and some unrealistic parts.

The film was originally scheduled to hit theatres on August 14, 2020. However, it was delayed due to production problems and the COVID-19 pandemic. On June 29, 2020, Disney+ Hotstar held a virtual press conference where Ajay Devgn announced that the film would release on their streaming platform. The change was part of the Disney+ Hotstar Multiplex initiative, which began due to the closure of theatres due to the pandemic. The film’s digital rights were sold for ₹112 crore.

Bhuj: The Pride of India was delayed a lot as its production was not complete and Disney+ Hotstar was focusing on the Indian Premier League, which took place from September to November 2020.
