Chengiz is an epic Indian Bengali language film full of action, crime, and thrilling moments. Directed by Rajesh Ganguly and written by Neeraj Pandey, it is a true cinematic masterpiece. In 1976, a young man named Jaidev Singh went through really tough times. When he was just 10 years old, his parents were murdered by an evil man named Rashid Khan. But fortunately, a police officer named Sameer Sinha took him under his wing and became a father figure to him.
When Jaidev turned 16, he decided to avenge the death of his parents. He joined the underworld in Calcutta and changed his name to Chengiz. He started working for a powerful gangster named Mohammed Omar, also known as Nalli Bhai.
By 1995, Chengiz was no longer satisfied with working for someone else. He wanted to run things himself. Hence, he started his gang in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. But his uncle Sameer Sinha, who is now a policeman, was not letting him escape so easily. They kept playing the game of cat and mouse for years.
In 2001, Chengiz managed to escape from Calcutta by pretending to be someone else. But despite being away, he never forgot his old enemy Sameer Sinha.
Fast forward to 2022, Chengiz, now an old man, is seen having lunch in Morocco. It seemed that even from this distance he was keeping an eye on things in Calcutta. His story proves that he had a huge hand in the underworld of Calcutta, and he always made sure to keep an eye on his old enemy Sameer Sinha.
