Dilkhush Movie Storyline, Review, and Plot
At first glance, Dil Khush might seem like another romantic film with multiple love stories, like Love Actually or Life in a Metro. However, director Rahul Mukherjee doesn’t try anything new, and instead, he shows four relationships that seem ‘perfect’. But this perfection has its own challenges, which is where the story really starts getting interesting.
It takes a while to get into the plot as the app in the film matches only a few people, leaving the characters with limited options to find their ‘perfect partner’. These matches are mostly based on interests, not considering anything else. The film pairs an ageing actor with a home chef struggling with his business, a confirmed bachelor with a happy-go-lucky widow, a camgirl with a yet-to-be-divorced night watchman, and a social media influencer with a serious researcher.
The idea is that opposites attract, keeping the relationships simple and focusing on their chemistry. The film tries to resolve their problems while giving each relationship a chance to develop. However, the story seems to be written in a hurry, with some parts left out, making the relationships seem a bit forced at times.
Aparajita Adhya and Kharaj Mukherjee are excellent as housewives and actors. Ananya Sen, who plays Adhya’s daughter Putul, has given a brilliant performance, bringing depth and credibility to the film. Paran Bandopadhyay and Anshua Majumdar add a sweet, romantic element to the drama, which is a delight to watch. Aishwarya Sen is playing a young social media influencer.
Dilkhush film has many surprises, but it often moves too fast, leaving out important moments. Some scenes are hard to believe, making the whole premise questionable. This is especially true for Madhumita and Soham’s story, which seems unbelievable. The ending also feels rushed and too convenient.
The music is good but not memorable, while the cinematography is sharp and nostalgic. Overall, Dil Khush is a good movie to watch with friends and family on the weekend.
