Student of the Year 2 is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film directed by Punit Malhotra and produced by Nokia Studios and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. It is a standalone sequel to the 2012 film Student of the Year. The film stars Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria, Ananya Pandey and Aditya Seal, with Pandey and Sutaria making their debuts in Hindi cinema.
The film was released on 10 May 2019. It was not well received by critics upon release, criticizing its weak storyline, unrealistic events, and exaggerated view of Indian schools and colleges.
