Vanderpump Rules is an American reality TV show that has been airing on Bravo since January 7, 2013. It is the first spin-off of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and has aired eleven seasons. The show centers around Lisa Vanderpump and the staff of her restaurants and bars: SUR Restaurant & Lounge, Pump Restaurant and Tom Tom Restaurant & Bar, all in West Hollywood, California.
The show has been so popular that it spawned three spin-offs: Vanderpump Rules After Show, Vanderpump Rules: Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky and Vanderpump Dogs.
Vanderpump Rules is about Lisa Vanderpump and the staff of her restaurants (SUR, Pump and Tom Tom) as they try to make it big in show business while dealing with a lot of personal drama.
The show began by focusing on a new server, Scheana, and her relationships with the established staff: Kristen Doute, Katie Maloney, Tom Sandoval, Stassi Schroeder, and Jax Taylor.

Vanderpump Rules Season 1-10 Summarize in One Sentence
Season 1
The young, broke and attractive employees at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant SUR are introduced through wild nights and lots of gossip. Stassi has to deal with rumors that her ex-boyfriend Jax cheated on her. Katie, who is dating Tom Schwartz, struggles to keep up with Stassi. Kristen also has a tough time, especially when she hangs out with her ambitious boyfriend Tom Sandoval. Aspiring pop star Scheana Marie tries to change her “mistress” image while most of her co-workers ignore her.
Season 2
Fans meet “Tequila Katie,” who has orange, beer-soaked hair, when she confronts Scheana. Kristen believes Sandoval cheated on her with SUR’s new bartender Ariana. Jax gets a tattoo of Stassi’s name on his arm, which seems like they might get back together, but then it’s revealed that Kristen cheated on Jax with Sandoval.
Season 3
This season features major changes: Stassi quits working at SUR and Schwartz admits to cheating on Katie in Las Vegas. Scheana marries Mike Shay in a crop-top wedding dress. Kristen has a new boyfriend, British busboy James Kennedy, but she still tries to break up Sandoval and Ariana, which leads to her being fired from SUR.
Season 4
Lala Kent and Brittany Cartwright join the show, both as potential girlfriends for Jax. Jax ends up with Brittany, and Lala hooks up with James after he and Kristen split up in a dramatic fight.
Season 5
Stassi, Kristen and Katie put their differences aside to fight against Lala (who is dating a mysterious man) and James, whose drinking habit gets him fired from SUR. There are major relationship changes: Katie and Schwartz get married, Scheana and Shay get divorced and Lisa asks Toms to go into business with her.
Season 6
This season is filled with relationship drama: Jax cheats on Brittany, causing a major scandal; James is accused of cheating on his young girlfriend Raquel; Stassi and Scheana both end up with the wrong people; and Lala and James’ friendship is shattered when he insults her boyfriend, claiming it’s not about the pasta.
Season 7
After his father passes away, Jax pulls himself together and proposes to Brittany; Stassi introduces her new boyfriend Beau; Katie and Schwartz have another big fight in Mexico; James is accused of cheating on Raquel again, is fired from SUR again, and he starts thinking about quitting drinking for the first time.
Season 8
Jax and Brittany, Schwartz and Katie, and Sandoval and Ariana all move into nearly identical houses in the Valley, showing that they are growing up; new restaurant employees join the cast, but their drama doesn’t really matter; Jax and Brittany’s wedding is filled with friendship drama; Stassi and Beau get engaged in a cemetery; Raquel helps James stay sober.
Season 9
The show lost half of its main cast and all but one of the new members, without explaining why. Instead, it focuses on “Rachel,” James’ big proposal to Raquel funded by Sandoval, the new bar project Schwartz and Sandy are working on, and Lala and Scheana’s new baby. Scheana and her partner Brock Davis try to get married, but fail.
Season 10
Off-camera breakups set the stage for big drama: Lala and Randall, James and Raquel, and Katie and Tom all split up. Then, Lisa’s husband Ken drops a bombshell that makes everyone angry at the wrong Tom. While Schwartz kissed Raquel, it was Sandoval who carried on a secret relationship with Ariana for months. This shocking news has reinvigorated the show, promising more drama for the seasons to come.
