Veer Movie Story
In 1875, Veer Pratap Singh (Salman Khan) is a brave Pindari warrior, son of the famous Prithvi Singh (Mithun Chakraborty), known for his heroic battles for his people. The Pindaris have a long-running feud with King Gyanendra Singh (Jackie Shroff) of the Rajasthani kingdom of Madhavgarh. Years earlier, Gyanendra had allied with the British and killed thousands of Pindaris, leading to years of war.
During this time, Veer meets Gyanendra Singh’s daughter Princess Yashodhara (Zareen Khan) and falls in love with her. Since the Pindaris are mostly illiterate, Veer and his younger brother Punya Singh (Sohail Khan) are sent to a college in London to learn more about the world. Despite facing discrimination, Veer and Virtue manage to adapt and learn British customs. Veer also becomes close to Yashodhara, who is studying there with her elder brother, Crown Prince Gajendra (Puru Raj Kumar).
A few months before completing his studies, Gajendra learns the real identities of Veer and Punya and plans to kill them. Veer fights back by killing Gajendra to save his brother. Saddened, Yashodhara asks Veer to stay away from her and Madhavgarh.
When they return to India, Yashodhara is made the crown prince, but she is unable to forget Veer. Gyanendra, mourning his son, wants revenge. Veer, with the consent of his parents, wants to marry Yashodhara, but King Gyanendra sees Veer as a threat and orders his death. Veer and Punya plan to infiltrate Madhavgarh.
Gyanendra teams up with the British Governor, James Fraser (Tim James Lawrence), to crush the Pindaris and kill Veer. The determined Veer interrupts Yashodhara’s marriage ceremony and takes her away from the fort. Gyanendra finds his fort surrounded by the Pindaris and, betrayed by the British, is forced to ally with the Pindaris in order to survive. In the ensuing battle, Fraser and Gyanendra were killed. Veer, injured by a bullet, dies in his father’s lap.
Years later, Veer’s son “Veera” (Salman Khan) playfully fights with Prithvi during the credits roll, revealing that Veer’s legacy lives on.
