Mr. & Mrs. Mahi Release Date OTT
The film was earlier scheduled to release on 7 October 2022, but was pushed due to production delays. It was then rescheduled to 15 March 2024 and then 19 April 2024, but was postponed again. Eventually, the film released in theatres on 31 May 2024.

Chemistry and Early Promise
Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor have great chemistry in “Mr and Mrs Mahi”, with their strong performances giving the film a great start. However, the writing quickly lets them down. Mahendra calls himself a “hopeless loser”, and Mahima, who is a qualified doctor, decides to marry him just because he is “honest”. They barely know each other, which seems unrealistic in today’s world.
Real Moments and Mahendra’s Struggle
The most real part of the film is the conversation between Mahendra and his mother, played by Zarina Wahab. She explains how fame can become addictive and how the younger generation is always running after something they cannot achieve, leaving them unhappy. The scene shows Mahendra’s desperation to get credit for his wife’s success, even creating embarrassing Instagram reels. It highlights his struggle with self-esteem and the pressures of modern life.
