"Malaikottai Vaaliban" is for me LJP's weakest — and this is coming from someone who watched "Double Barrel" a few times.

Malaikottai Vaaliban Movie Story & Review
“Lijo Jose Pellissery’s film Malaikottai Vaaliban is like a thrill ride, with exciting action sequences, spectacular visuals and catchy songs. However, it has some slow parts in the beginning. Mohanlal’s performance as the lead character is truly captivating. Because he brings a lot of energy and mystery to the role.
Katha Nandi who plays Jamanti has done a fantastic job and Sonali Kulkarni as Rangapattinam Rangarani is also excellent, although her character changes a bit as the story progresses. Other actors like Harish Parady, Danish Sait and Sanjana Chandran also perform well in their roles.
There are some ups and downs in the first half of the film. It’s exciting at times but can also feel a little slow, like the pace of nomadic life. However, Madhu Neelakandan’s cinematography is amazing with some impressive sequences.
The second half of the film picks up the pace and is a lot of fun to watch, especially the big fight scene. The characters that Valiban meets along the way are really interesting and add a lot to the story.
Prashanth Pillai’s music also adds a lot to the film, changing to suit the mood of each scene. The sets and costumes are also really well created and help bring the director’s vision to life.
As the story progresses, the film explores themes such as jealousy and obsession, showing how friendships can fall apart due to selfishness. Overall, while the main story may not be the most original, the film has a lot of depth and is clearly the work of a talented director like Lizzo.”
