Iraivan is a 2023 Telugu thriller directed by S. Raj and produced by Kalyan Chakraborty and Anjali Reddy under Eternal Films. Iraivan film stars Nani, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Srinivas Avasarala and Ravi Varma, while Bindu Madhavi, Rao Ramesh, Tanikella Bharani and Uttej play supporting roles.
The film was first announced in April 2022 without a title, which was revealed in November. Shooting began in May 2022 and ended in December. Music is by Devi Sri Prasad, cinematography is by Sudeep and editing is by Naveen.
Iraivan movie premiered on October 15, 2023, but critics had negative opinions about it.

Iraivan Movie Plot, Story & Review
Rajeev is a famous detective known for his unconventional methods in catching criminals. He is in love with Maya, the sister of his friend Kabir, but he is hesitant to propose because he has made a lot of enemies during his career and is afraid of retribution.
Meanwhile, chaos reigns in the city as a brutal serial killer, nicknamed the “Grin Reaper” for leaving smiley face notes at crime scenes, begins targeting and murdering young women. Is. Is. Rajeev and Kabir are assigned the case. Sadly, Kabir dies while confronting the killer, who is later identified as Vikram. This trauma prompts Rajeev to leave the police force. To make a fresh start, he and Maya open a bookstore together.
A year later, rumors spread that Vikram had escaped from jail. Vikram’s psychiatrist Dr. Gupta is found dead and then Vikram’s daughter Simran becomes the next victim. Rajiv receives a threatening letter from Vikram. Murders are on the rise, horrific videos are being sent to victims’ families.
Riya, who survived the previous attack, goes missing, leading Rajeev and the police to suspect Vikram’s involvement. They realize that Vikram did not intend to hurt Riya, as she seemed to be enjoying his torture earlier. Rajeev finds Riya where Vikram was caught earlier. They confront Vikram, who hints that someone else is behind the recent murders, but refuses to reveal who. The police shoots Vikram, ending his reign of terror.
