Damsel Movie Story, Review & Plot

Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom called Aurea, there was a story about a brave king who tried to fight a fearsome dragon but failed. He was left alone and in danger.

Many years later, a young girl named Lily is asked to marry a prince named Leo of Aurea. Lily’s father said yes because his people needed help, even though Lily and Leo didn’t really know each other at first.

When Lily arrived in Aurea, she and Leo didn’t really care for each other. But as they spent time together, they began to become friends. Meanwhile, Lily’s stepmother, Mrs. Smith, does not get along with the Queen of Aurea, causing some trouble.

After Lily and Leo got married, they were to hold a special ceremony on a mountain. There, they first learn of a terrible pact made by the king with the dragon, where he has to give up his daughters in order to keep the peace. Leo had to throw Lily off a cliff as part of the ceremony.

Lily survives the fall and finds a secret cave with glowing insects that illuminate the darkness. He followed a map into the cave which led him to a tragic discovery about the dragon and why the king had to abandon his daughters.

When Lily’s family tried to save her, they were attacked by the python, but Lily managed to escape. Isabella, the queen of Aurea, kidnaps Lily’s younger sister, Mia, to use as a sacrifice.

Lily decides to go back to the mountain to rescue Mia. He tricked the dragons into believing that they had all been betrayed by the Orion royals, and should not be enemies. But the python did not believe what he said and attacked.

In a risky move, Lily hurts the dragon herself, and then they are both healed by glowing insects. After that, Lily stopped another wedding in Aurea and showed everyone how the royal family was lying and hurting people. The dragon helped by destroying the palace where the evil royals lived.

In the end, Lily, Mia and Mrs. Smith return home, the dragon flying beside them. They had plenty of supplies and were happy to leave Aurea behind.
