Gaganachari (Celestial Being) is a Malayalam language science fiction comedy film set in the 2040s. The story is about three men who meet a mysterious alien in a futuristic version of Kerala. The film stars Anarkali Merikar, Gokul Suresh, Aju Varghese and K.B. Ganesh Kumar is.
The film is based on a dystopian Kerala in the year 2043. It depicts the humorous and chaotic events when an alien woman hides in the apartment of three troubled bachelors. The men try to keep her presence a secret while dealing with their own problems, leading to many comical situations.
‘Gaganachari’ premiered on 28 January at the ‘Kerala Pop Con’ at Kochi Panambili Nagar Rotary Club. It was then released in theaters on June 21, 2024, but only in a few locations. The film received a lot of praise from both audiences and critics. People liked the mix of science fiction and comedy as well as the performances of the actors. The film’s unique story and humorous take on futuristic Kerala were particularly appreciated.
