Madgaon Express Story & Review
In sunny Goa, three friends—Dhanush (Dodo), Pratik (Pinku), and Aayush—have always dreamed of cooling off on the beach. But life scattered him across Mumbai, Cape Town, and New York. Now, after 15 years, thanks to Dodo’s bizarre plan, they are finally traveling to Goa.
Kunal Khemu’s first shot at writing and direction brings a mix of laughs and heart for 144 minutes. From Dodo’s fake social media life to the trio’s hilarious mishaps, it’s a riot of fun.
The strength of the film is its funny dialogue and the perfect timing of the actors. They keep laughing even in stressful moments. They pay homage to a classic like “Dil Chahta Hai” without trying too hard.
But the story has happened before – the friends beat the bad guys. Some characters, like the tough fisherman led by Kanchan Kombady, add spice but slow things down. And there are some long, unnecessary scenes that drag on.
Still, the actors shine. Divyendu has acted poorly, Prateek has been riotous and Avinash has kept it real. The performances of Upendra Limaye in the role of clumsy Don Mendonza and Chhaya Kadam in the role of Kanchan are also noteworthy.
Overall, Madgaon Express is a relaxing ride through the beaches of Goa, filled with laughs and a few bumps along the way.
