Ra.One is a 2011 Indian superhero film in Hindi, directed by Anubhav Sinha and produced by Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan in a double role, with Arjun Rampal as the main villain. The cast also includes Kareena Kapoor, Armaan Verma, Shahana Goswami, Tom Wu, Dalip Tahil and Satish Shah.
The story is about a video game villain named Ra’s. which escapes into the real world. He wants to find and defeat Ra’s defeat game creator Shekhar Subramaniam’s son Prateek, game id Lucifer. One in the game. Ra. One kills Shekhar, but the game’s hero moves to fight Ra. One, who looked like his father, brought him to the real world. Protect one and his family.
Ra.One faced many problems before its release, including allegations of plagiarism, content leaks and copyright issues. The film was released on 24 October 2011 during the festival of Diwali in 2D, 3D and dubbed in Tamil and Telugu. It was the biggest international release for any Indian film at the time, with premieres in various countries between 24 and 26 October 2011. There were a lot of hopes and expectations from the audience and the box office.
When it released, Ra.One was praised for its special effects, action scenes, direction, music and the performances of Shahrukh Khan and Arjun Rampal. However, the script received some criticism. Despite this, the film became the third-highest-grossing Bollywood film in India in 2011 and the second-highest-grossing Bollywood film worldwide that year. It broke several box office records in its opening days and grossed ₹207 crore worldwide, making it a commercial success.
The film won several awards for its technical achievements, including a National Film Award, a Filmfare Award and four International Indian Film Academy Awards. While the movie received mixed reviews when it was first released, her reputation has improved over the years, and she is now more appreciated for her role in Indian superhero films.
