Yatra 2 Movie Story & Review

The entertaining sequel to the 2019 hit “Yatra”, “Yatra 2” follows the determined journey of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, played by Vikram, after the tragic death of his father, YS Rajasekhar Reddy (played by Rajinikanth). The film tells the story of Jagan’s rise in the political arena of Andhra Pradesh, facing tough opponents like Madam, played by Jessica Lange, and Chandra Babu, played by Anupam Kher.

Directed by Mahi V. Raghav, “Yatra 2” presents a compelling narrative, seamlessly combining real-life footage with cinematic storytelling. While Vikram impresses with his portrayal of Jagan’s resilience and political acumen, Rajinikanth adds depth to the character of YSR with his dignified performance.

The film also explores the emotional aspects of Jagan’s journey, including his relationships with his wife YS Bharathi (played by Priya Anand) and his mother YS Vijayamma (Swara Bhaskar). Despite some technical shortcomings, the film’s dialogues and music were liked by YSR’s supporters, reflecting the essence of his leadership.

Overall, “Yatra 2” takes an insightful look at the complexities of political leadership and family legacy, appealing to audiences of all political affiliations.
